Egyptian International Motors has officially introduced the all-new 2027 Renault Boreal in Egypt, arriving from Turkey across three trims with a 1.3-liter turbo engine starting at 1,470,000 EGP.
Egyptian International Motors, the authorized distributor for the French marque, has officially introduced the all-new 2027 Renault Boreal to Egyptian showrooms, entering the competitive compact crossover arena. The debut expands the brand portfolio locally with a modern nameplate oriented toward family transport and everyday versatility. Built in and imported directly from Renault manufacturing hubs in Turkey, this crossover arrives to satisfy buyers seeking contemporary styling coupled with usable dimensions appropriate for metropolitan commuting and intercity travel across Egypt.
Under the hood, the 2027 Renault Boreal relies on an efficient 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit displacing 1300 cc. This powertrain generates 150 horsepower and a solid 250 Nm of torque, delivering lively responses across varied driving regimes. Output is channeled to the wheels through a six-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission, an engineering approach specifically favored for hot climates and dense traffic because wet clutches handle thermal loads far better than dry counterparts. On the performance front, the official data confirms a standstill to 100 km/h acceleration time of 9.6 seconds alongside an electronically governed maximum velocity of 180 km/h.
The authorized dealer structured the vehicle rollout across three distinct trim grades to cater to varying consumer budgets. The entry-level Evolution variant starts with an official price tag of 1,470,000 EGP, establishing the baseline price point for the crossover. Positioned above it, the mid-tier Techno grade is listed at 1,570,000 EGP, adding higher specification appointments. At the summit of the hierarchy sits the Iconic trim, priced at 1,690,000 EGP. All three variants come bundled with manufacturer warranty coverage lasting 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, providing crucial long-term reassurance for prospective owners navigating investment decisions in the local automotive space.
Luggage volume and everyday versatility are pivotal selection criteria for crossover owners in Egypt, where households frequently count on a single primary vehicle for both daily school runs and highway journeys. The Boreal offers a luggage compartment rated at 586 liters, positioning it among the roomier contenders in its operational class. Such capacity easily accommodates full-size suitcases, prams, and shopping gear without demanding folding seats or compromising rear passenger legroom. For Egyptian buyers balancing daily urban logistics with occasional highway travel between governorates, this substantial cargo capacity represents a tangible practical advantage.
Sourcing the Boreal directly from production plants in Turkey provides steady logistical access to Egyptian maritime ports, aiding predictable inventory flows. By entering the market with pricing anchored between 1.47 and 1.69 million EGP, the model positions itself directly against fierce Asian and European compact rivals already entrenched in this bracket. The marque banks on the balanced character of its 1.3-liter turbocharged unit, which produces commendable pulling force while remaining beneath the critical 1.6-liter threshold that governs local recurring vehicle licensing expenses and fuel consumption expectations.
Prospective buyers evaluating this launch should carefully weigh technical nuances against personal driving habits. The inclusion of a wet-clutch dual-clutch transmission is an encouraging engineering highlight for domestic driving conditions, mitigating the excessive heat buildup and clutch wear historically experienced with dry dual-clutch setups in crawling traffic. Buyers are advised to assess scheduled maintenance intervals across authorized workshop networks, inspect consumable parts pricing, and clarify recommended fuel octane ratings to preserve turbocharger reliability and ensure engine longevity under local atmospheric conditions.
While the distributor has verified overall mechanical specifications, performance numbers, and baseline pricing tiers across the three variants, granular equipment rosters delineating exact active safety equipment, driver assists, and cabin creature comforts per trim remain pending full distribution. Similarly, precise showroom delivery timetables and delivery commitments against official pricing remain crucial factors to monitor. The speed and transparency of customer fulfillment will ultimately dictate how successfully the Boreal consolidates its footprint in the Egyptian compact crossover segment.
The crossover is offered in three trim levels: Evolution at 1,470,000 EGP, Techno at 1,570,000 EGP, and the range-topping Iconic at 1,690,000 EGP.
It features a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine delivering 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed wet DCT, clocking zero to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and reaching a 180 km/h top speed.
The vehicle comes supported by an official local distributor warranty covering 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
