Growth in Egypt Automotive Exports and Local EV Manufacturing Expansion
Egypt automotive exports and vehicle component manufacturing are gaining momentum after topping the $1 billion milestone, backed by rising engineering shipments and new partnerships for electric vehicle assembly.

A Landmark Milestone for Vehicle Component Outbound Trade
Egypt vehicle and component manufacturing achieved a notable breakthrough after export volumes exceeded $1 billion in 2025 for the first time. This performance illustrates rising production standards across local feeding industries and component suppliers, allowing domestic manufacturers to integrate more deeply into international automotive supply networks and serve major regional markets.
Engineering Export Expansion Supports Local EV Assembly
The upward trajectory coincides with broader industrial progress, as Egypt overall engineering exports climbed 4.1% year-on-year to $4.351 billion through the first eight months of 2026, up from $4.181 billion recorded during the same period in 2025. Export bodies project continued expansion as global automotive brands set up operational bases to manufacture and assemble electric vehicles domestically under state-supported industrial frameworks.
