Cupra Tavascan in Egypt: All-Electric Coupe SUV Officially Debuts
Kian Egypt has introduced the all-electric Cupra Tavascan coupe SUV to the Egyptian automotive market, launching the rear-wheel-drive Endurance trim offering up to 569 km of WLTP driving range.

Official Egyptian Premiere for the Cupra Tavascan
The Egyptian electric vehicle segment expanded with the official arrival of the Cupra Tavascan in Egypt via local distributor Kian Egypt. Unveiled during an introductory event held at the brand's Sheikh Zayed facility, the presentation was attended by the global brand's executive vice president for sales and marketing during his first trip to Cairo. The introduction marks the sporty Spanish brand's inaugural battery-electric offering in Egypt, following significant local market expansion that saw over 8,000 vehicle deliveries since operations commenced in 2023.
Endurance Powertrain Architecture and Performance
Underpinned by the Volkswagen Group MEB platform dedicated to electric vehicles, the coupe crossover arrives in Egypt in the Endurance rear-wheel-drive specification. Its rear-mounted electric drive unit produces 286 horsepower and 545 Nm of instantaneous torque. This setup allows the vehicle to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while maximum operational speed is electronically capped at 180 km/h to optimize battery consumption.
